  • Mythical Creatures

Mythical creatures come from the folklore and mythology from the down of times until now. They are animals said to have existed in a certain past but no physical proof was ever found. This would include creatures like : dragons, unicorns, some dinosaurs like the Lochness monster even, griffons, kelpies, etc etc.

These creatures have haunted the history of men since their own apparition and goes back to the prehistorical era itself. Countless countries at times who could not communicate with each others had similar creatures all over their books, spoken stories, drawings and I pass. So, while some believe these creatures weren't real, a lot of people still think they existed and still exist on some planes of this universe.

Of course, some creatures have been debunked but it doesn't mean they are not real in the other world.

    Mythical Humanoids

Humanoid creatures which legends originate from Earth and its human civiliations, starting millenas ago. Most of the mythical humanoids started back with the first natives of each Continent across the globe.  They are part-human creatures or completely other species of humanoids excluding the Alien species ( which refer to starseeds instead not otherkins ).

    Some examples would be:

    • vampires

    • mermaids

    • fairies

    • faes

    • elves

    • Grim reapers

While some mythical humanoid species might be deities so be careful not to mix them up.

    Lovecraft Polymorphs

Inspired by the universe of Eldritch, lovecraft lovers and polymorphs identify as creatures from his work and claim to feel comfortable on many shapes, all inspired from the Lovecraft again. Some may adopt a main form that they modify according to their own needs. Lovecraft are not fictionkin since the creatures they identify as vary in all the ways possible and do not necessarily takes the shape of an exact creature of Lovecraft universe. Unless someone claims to be Chtulu or another existing creature from it, they ain't fictionkins.

Here's a quoted member of the Tumblr community :

'' After years of ignoring a plethora of different ph shifts I thouht to be nothing more than just cameo shifts, I have come to the conclusion that I am a polymorph otherkin with a base form of a sea serpent with snake-like features (what I thought was my actual kintype). Ever since I have accepted this, I have  been noticing what appeared to be a rise in different ph shifts, though I doubt that what I’m noticing is truly a rise in ph shifts. Instead, I suspect that I’m actually just paying attention to these phantom nonhuman body parts instead of ignoring them. Though one thing is still the same: I am still sure of my eldritch past. ''
