Studies no 6: Permanent Effects of M/P-shifting

In this topic, I want us to study the permanent effects of both mental and physical shifting. So , to start smooth and well, I'll start with a simple question and I'll start some researches. Everyone is morethan welcome to research with me or answer any questions to contribute to this studies. 

SO , the first question I'll ask is : 


What do you think mental shifting and physical shifting have as permanent effects ? ( mental and physical effects ) ? 

Examples : uncontrolled animal noises, mentality changing, unable to function on certain degrees etc. 

I hope the question is clear enough. Otherwise please don't hesitate to ask so i can clarify.

Well it could lead to an actual condition called lycanthropy, were the mind is permanently a wolf but the body is still human. However it is rather rare but still probable and possible.

I was talking about the mental disease, but the after effects of m-shifting and p-shifting on a long time term. I,ve seen people who had their body change slightly over time, others like who have behavior problems, making animal sounds and all. 

it's not about clinical lycanthropy. trust me.

Ah roger dodger, well in that case! Yes I think M-shifting and P-shifting does have an permanent effect both mentally and physically. For me its more mentally, I perceive things differently from a 'wolf's' Point of view or way of think, its no longer habit or oddity for me to growl low and steady when irritated its natural, instinctual. Little behavioral stuff leak through when I don't have a reign on myself or forget Im in a public place and have a roommate. I think the longer m-shift you hold, the more traits you pick up and keep so to say. It becomes a part of you like breathing, you just do it.

I don't think it does have a huge permanent effect. I never followed razgris or Blaze after he was proven to be a fraud in the first place. I had mental shifts for a long while and never suffered anything permanent. The only thing thats really permanent is my instincts as a Were. (such as Coyote instincts and some wolf) I am not sure about the P-shifts as I have never Shifted THAT far. But all the Weres and Shifters I do know never suffered any long term effects.

Do you think this studies is worth continuing or is it solved and we can conclude there aren't that much after effects ? 

What about : 

- Home sick ( but for your kin type, you feel like you dont belong, you are not good in your skin because its not your kin type's ) 

- Depression

-Anger issues

- Uncontrolled animal behaviors/ticks

- Obsessed with The Nature call ( always wanting to be free, can't be in a system of any sort without feeling trapped or not free completely, wanting to go in forest etc ) 

- Clinical Lycanthropy

- Physical minor changes over time like teeth and ears growing

- P-shift PNR ( Point no return ) 

- etc 


Am I the only one to have a few symptoms there ? 

Blaze lied about p-shift but the after-effects for him were real. 

So that's why I'm asking.

I'm not sure people understand what you're asking here.

I've never really m-shifted, since I'm in what I can only describe to shifters as a permanent m-shift, but I've noticed a few permanent effects of attempting to p-shift. My ears are higher on my head, (I know because I've had to adjust my headphones) my canines are sharper, my senses are stronger, my hearing range seems to have expanded slightly, and the smell of catnip effects me in interesting ways. (Why do we even have cat toys with catnip in them?)

Everyone really needs to read Rosalyn Greene`s book "The Magic of Shapeshifting", it has all this stuff in there! But yes, it is most definitely possible! I was born a Therian aka Shifter and so I was also born with some physical traits of Wolves and I always have the Wolf mentality at all times. I have also developed certain physical traits that I wasnt born with but developed slowly over time that are from my Wolf side, and a few more mental traits that try harder to show through my Human form as well. And when I was trying diligently for many months up to nearly a year to P-Shift I started to get even more traits, although most of them were only temporary some of them remained permanent. I also heard that if you do too much Concentration P-Shifting you may permanently deform your body, or have other permanent effects. I know when I was focusing on P-Shifting my hands and feet began to cramp very badly for days and my hands and fingers didnt want to be curled in, and my thumb dexterity got less and less until I could barely use my thumbs anymore. My teeth started acting up before my hands and feet, and they felt like they were trying to push themselves out of my mouth or push my tooth fillings out, idk but it was very strange and somewhat painful but mostly just uncomfortable. I had several other effects but its hard to remember them all, but those were the most powerful. Although I also had mental effects that were very strong too, my Wolf mentality was starting to take over my Human mentality, I became more like an Alpha Wolf. I growled more and showed my teeth, even wanted to nip my Dog on his cheek when he misbehaved. I became more aggressive at times under stress. I even felt more powerful physically, like I was somehow physically stronger like super-Human strong.
