‘Transpecies’ woman who says she’s an elf baffles GMB fans with ‘Otherkin’ life

A 'transpecies' woman who identifies as an elf has rendered Good Morning Britain viewers speechless.

Kimberel Eventide, from Chicago, reckons she's an elf trapped in a human body and says people in her position, who consider themselves part mythical creature, are called 'Otherkins'.
What's more, she says she realised her true identity after connecting with the elves in J R R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
"I identify as an Otherkin, which feels more like an elf – I have a human body but my soul belongs to another species. It's about a way of life and about being connected to nature, always," she revealed on today's GMB, much to the incredulity of hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

"It's not about the ears, it's about who you are on the inside and how you carry yourself."

A bemused Piers replied, "People are laughing about this but you're deadly serious aren't you? You do identify as a transpecies elf trapped in a human body?"
And she explained it's not just her, but that there's a whole movement of people out there "starting to question more what is a human."
"I came into this world feeling different and I believe that I'm not the only one," she said.

"We're going to find out more in the future that the human being is far more unlimited than we may have imagine and I believe that a lot of new souls coming in are going to show that."
Piers being Piers, he questioned whether Kimberel was married to another elf and if she was allowed to have sex with full humans.

She confirmed that her husband is a non-elf human, but said if they ever have a child, the baby will "have a mix of elvin soul within their human body."
Needless to say, viewers weren't sure what to make of it all, with some thinking it was a belated April Fools joke.

And Piers, 54, took the opportunity to assign himself a new identity, stating he could no longer be fat-shamed because he's 'trans-slender'.
"I have a personal announcement, I have been carrying a bit of timber but I'd like to now announce that I am identifying as skinny, in fact, I am one of the world's first trans-slenders," he joked.
"I am trans-slender, so you can't actually call me fat any more because I am now identifying as skinny and I expect to be afforded the respect of a trans-slender."

Piers' joke is why I tend to be careful about who I talk to about therianthropy.

I like that she went on to explain this but I feel she shouldn’t of made the assumption that her kid would be such, not so say her child could not have an elf soul. However it would have nothing to do with that rather if she has a child in say the etheric and timed it right her etheric child could be reincarnated into her physical child thus making is possible which a few people I know plan to do this. Otherwise, her child soul has a larger chance of being something she isn’t. Personally I don’t go openly with my true self mainly because the ties people put on it and the amount of close minds that would jump at the chance to turn it into a meme.

It's good to see them include otherkins/therians more on news nowadays. EVen though their message or what they claim may not be true, it is at least pushing the concept of otherkins/therians to the community. Perhaps therians and otherkins will one day accepted, perhaps striving for a pay similar for the lgbtq+ community and racism. Of course we will still be seen differently, but at least we could be treated with respect.
