The Rougarou of Louisiana : legends

Down in Bayou marshes, a beast lurkes in the dark of night. They say it to be a cursed person 

that transforms into a loup-garou and is trying to get rid rid of the curse by getting shot or worse.

Now,while I'm not  fond of the '' cursed '' version of werewolves in general, I do not reject the idea. 

Lots of werewolves were seen on old native burial grounds or in native forests so it might be possible

that they are in fact guardians of the place, scaring bad people and hunters away. But it's all theories, which, 

by the way, i'm open-minded to. I watched the whole documentary and it does teach you a whole lot on native legends

of that place. The documentary can be found for free on TUBI platform.
