Meditation Drop
Today I'm going to be doing a tutorial on rapid entry meditation. Yes, I know how ironic the abbreviation for that is. That's why, to avoid confusion, I call it a Meditation Drop. I hope you're not afraid of heights, because that's the basis of this.
Before I explain what to do, let's start with the basics. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and visualize. You thought I was going to say relax, didn't you? No, that's not a part of the basics for this. If you had to relax before you started, it wouldn't be rapid entry.
Visualization:
Now, normally people think of their conscious, active mind as a lower state, and the meditative state as a higher state. For this to make sense, I'll need you to reverse that. Rather than rising above your limited perception, think that you're diving into your new perspective. After all, humans know more about the air than they know about the sea.
So to begin, rather than expelling negative energy to relax, use it to help you dive. It's easier and faster to use the negative energy to build a bubble around yourself, and no random spirits are going to cross that barrier. Thing is, there's no water to dive into. You're just going to fall. There's not even any air resistance. You'll just fall until you hit the bottom. Don't worry though, your bubble will protect you. You'll bounce right back up, completely unaware that you hit the bottom. When you reach the top again, the bubble pops, and you can choose whether you want to reabsorb the energy from it.
Of course, you only have to start the fall. After that, you're free to switch to whatever things you want to do in your meditation. M-shift? Alright. Ph-shift? Sure. P-shift? If you can. A little astral projection? Go ahead. The possibilities are endless.
Logic:
Whether or not you can manage by my visualization, you should read this.
For most, knowing the mechanics will be helpful. For the rest, it will have no effect. I started by giving the visualization because that's how I started doing this trick myself. I didn't realize what I was doing until much later.
Basically, you're putting yourself in a hollow psi-ball. It's only purpose is to help you relax. Once made, it should protect you from outside influences and continue to take negative energy away from you until it expires, helping you stay in a meditative state. This particular design will usually deteriorate within a much shorter timeframe than other constructs, possibly because it's hollow, or possibly because its task of protecting you takes a lot of energy, or maybe it's just because it's so big.
Pros:
Practice makes perfect. The more you do this, the easier and faster it'll be to start, and you'll get better at other "psi-ball" work as well. Energy manipulation is a powerful thing, so use it wisely.
This is really more of a conditioning process. It'll help you learn to expel negative energy quickly, and teach you that you're safe when you do so. (The biggest fear you have is actually the fear of danger if you abandon your fear) After a while, you won't even need the bubble anymore. You can just expel negative energy and fall into meditation at will.
With the bubble, you can do things that would normally snap you out of your meditative state. The bubble makes this a much heavier meditation. Even if someone disturbs you during meditation and you're aware of it, you still may not snap out of it. (This may count in the cons list too...)
Cons:
The timeframe is unpredictable. With enough practice you can learn to control how long it lasts, but you never really know the first time. It's also often difficult to pull out of meditation with this. You sort of just have to wait 'til the bubble pops on its own.
It takes longer for some to master than others. Mastery time seems to be relative to kintype, from my experience, and it's mostly subconscious. A feline mind can easily accept this comfort bubble. After all, cats tend to seek out safe places to hide, and they're choosing to be in the bubble. Meanwhile, canines are naturally apprehensive of the bubble, even if they know it's keeping them safe. They can't stand the idea of apparent confinement. My advise is to mainly use it for astral projection at first, assigning the bubble to focus on protecting the body. This should help you ease your instincts into the idea that the bubble is a good thing. I'll stop here, because it's impractical to analyze every kintype.
Conclusion:
This meditation technique will get faster every time you use it. Have fun meditating!
Any questions?

I felt more at peace when listening to this and being guided into the meditation. Could be useful for anyone that wants to try. It's a quartz crystal bowl mediation.
